Your hosts, Eva and Roland, welcome you to The Rocks Homestay at Punakaiki. The homestay was built in 1997 by Peg & Kevin Piper, who with much love and passion ran the place for 10 years. In July 2008 they handed the homestay over to us.
We are Swiss and have immigrated to New Zealand in Summer 2008. Eva is a highschool teacher in French and Italian, Roland is a certified accountant. Together we share the passion for cooking, art, sports & music. While Eva loves to paint and to build sculptures, Roland focuses on the field of photography. In the section "photogallery" you find a small selection of photos taken by Roland.
We speak English, Swiss, German, French and Italian
In recognition of our commitment to the environment and to further enhance the pleasure of your stay, we are endorsed as Kiwi Green Certified, using only eco-friendly products in our cleaning. If you're concerned about the impact of your travelling, we're also able to offer the facility of sponsoring New Zealand native trees through Kiwi Green Regeneration.
