When you arrive at Punakaiki you will find yourselves at the Pancake Rocks and the Visitors Center. To get to The Rocks Homestay accommodation head north on State Highway 6 towards Westport for 3 kilometres. A large blue sign indicates Motel, Homestay and Backpacker accommodation. Turn left down Hartmount Place, which is a narrow lane that looks much like a driveway to a private house. Go all the way to the bottom of the road, veering to your right at the bottom of the hill. The Rocks has a conspicuous green roof and a big copper notice at the gate.
